Join the PLC

Aloha and Greetings;

It is time to renew your 2011 Annual Dues to the 102nd Pacific Logging Congress Annual Convention, November 4, 5, 6 & 7, 2011 at The Fairmont Kea Lani on the Island of Maui. Your annual dues support PLC and your donations to the education fund helps support the Pacific Forest Foundation educational programs.

 As you know, the Pacific Logging Congress is one of the oldest continuous logging organizations. Since 1909 the PLC has maintained strong support for our industry. Industry people from all over the Pacific Rim gather each year to share concerns and issues facing our most valuable renewable resource. This year we will hold the annual convention on the Island of Maui.  Our theme will focus on the issue facing our industry today, and knowledge speakers from around the world will provide thought provoking topics.  Click here to view the 2011 Convention program and activities schedule.

 Participation in the Pacific Logging Congress is by membership. By paying your dues now, you will receive up-to-the-minute information concerning the 2011 convention and activities.

 Education is the most important part of the PLC and Pacific Forest Foundation.  Our “It Takes a Tree” program has been seen throughout the United States and Canada. We have distributed this program free of charge to thousands of science teachers.

 In 2008 the Pacific Forest Foundation (PLC’s education wing) started production on a much needed “careers” project titled “This Is My Office”.  The DVD was unveiled at the 100th Celebration of the PLC in November 2009.  This DVD has been very well received by colleges and high school career counselors. “This Is My Office” has become the new “flagship” for the Pacific Forest Foundation and the Pacific Logging Congress. To view the DVD and for more details visit www.pacificforestfoundation.org

 Please complete the 2011 Dues form and return it to the PLC along with your payment. When filling out your application, please consider a contribution to the Pacific Forest Foundation education fund.

 We continue to embark on new educational opportunities for the PLC and PFF that will help define the future direction for our loggers, mill-workers and manufacturers for the next generation. It takes support from people like you to help the Pacific Logging Congress and the Pacific Forest Foundation continue our efforts in educating the public.

 I hope you will plan to join us at the 102nd Pacific Logging Congress Annual Convention, November 4, 5, 6 & 7, 2011 on the Island of Maui.    If you have any questions please call the PLC office at 425-413-2808 or visit www.pacificloggingcongress.com.

 Sincerely,

Mike Pihl
